Winter Wonderland at Crieff Hills

At Winter Wonderland, our volunteers support campers to enjoy outdoor and indoor activities. Examples of the types of activities featured at other Winter Wonderland camps include tobogganing, crafts and games, themed dinners, campfires, wagon rides, and snow-painting.

Elim Lodge

Peterborough Area - August

Where it all began! Join us (pandemic permitting) at the accessible Elim Lodge site for the 11th Annual Family Camp. Enjoy times of worship and learning along with varied and fun activities for adults and children alike, including tubing, swimming, crafts and games, and a talent show for everybody to wrap up the week.

The Galilee Winter Wonderland is a fun-filled, but relaxing, way for families who experience disability to come together and enjoy meaningful songs and teaching, sliding and snowmobile rides, crafts and games, and rich fireside conversations - all in a supported, accessible environment.

Prince Albert

All are welcome at Kinasao! Located on beautiful Christopher Lake (north of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan), it is a place where people gather to learn and grow together and to enjoy life more fully. Come experience camp life with other families that experience disabilities and participate in activities such as swimming, crafts, tubing, summer sports, and campfires.

Christian Horizons Children's Respite Program provides quality respite support, including day camp opportunities, and additional recreation and leisure programs. Supported Independent Living

Break through barriers. Christian Horizons Supported Independent Living services give you the opportunity to live independently or with a roommate. Support is catered to the areas where you would like assistance and can include meal preparation, banking, housekeeping and medical appointments. The level of support is determined on an individual basis and can range from several hours per day to a few hours each week. Halton Community Participation provides stimulating and exciting activities for adults of all ages. We are committed to accommodating and supporting people who have a variety of interests and challenges. This location is wheelchair accessible, with support available for those who require lifts and/or transfers related to providing personal care.

The Hamilton program focuses on each individual’s journey to discover their potential and to fulfill their goals through fellowship with friends, recreation and leisure activities and creating opportunities for new experiences. This is a fully wheelchair-accessible location.

The Peel Community Participation program offers a wide variety of activities that are tailored to each person's capabilities; that is activities are offered in different ways to accommodate varying levels of participation and ability. This location is wheelchair accessible but does not have ceiling lifts.

A number of programs are offered, including wood-working, painting, and grounds maintenance at the local golf course. Community Residences

Christian Horizons community residences provide a quality residential setting for people with exceptional needs who require assistance in daily living. In this type of setting, you may share a home or apartment with one to five people, while having access to support 24-hours a day. All support is person-centered, as we help you reach your personal goals. Family Camp Volunteers

Family Camp Volunteers provide one-on-one support to persons with exceptional needs and their families. Your support to a participant during retreat activities will allow parents and caregivers to receive restorative respite. To maintain safety in our programs, all people wishing to volunteer are required to go through screening, orientation, and training processes appropriate to their involvement.
