Community Participation
The Peel Community Participation program offers a wide variety of activities that are tailored to each person’s capabilities; that is activities are offered in different ways to accommodate varying levels of participation and ability. This location is wheelchair accessible, but does not have ceiling lifts.
Activities include:
- Recreational activities in the on-site gym, art therapy, music appreciation, swimming at a local community centre and adapted gardening
- Community activities, such as coffee club/ice-cream social, Snoezelen (sensory therapy), trips to local events and attractions such as Butterfly Conservatory, Downey’s Farm, Niagara Falls, local theatre productions, or accessible boating
- Learning activities, including life-skills program, cooking and baking, volunteer placements at local community stores, and computer/iPad training
- Monthly Saturday activities
Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m
