“A Better Slice of Life” Premieres at Bloor Hot Docs Cinema

See the journey of people with developmental disabilities realize choice and a chance to follow their dream
Toronto, Ontario – February 29, 2016 – Join us for the premiere of “A Better Slice of Life”, a powerful documentary based on the journey of people with disabilities gaining their independence by learning practical culinary skills.
Last year, a partnership between Christian Horizons and Humber College resulted in an innovative nine-month program that combines teaching in-class soft skills with hands-on culinary training and job placement experience for people with developmental disabilities.
The doors will open to the general public at 6:30 p.m. for the documentary screening event.
