Gelaye Tesfaye

Gelaye lives with her parents in the community of Bekoji. It is a town known by its children affected by HIV/AIDS and disability. There is a well-attended school that offers inclusive education to children in the Child Sponsorship Program. Both of Gelaye’s parents have been ill. Her father has tuberculosis and her mother has a liver infection; they have been unable to meet the needs of their family. Your support will create a source of financial stability for Gelaye and her family. It will contribute to school tuition, nutritional support, clothing and medical treatment. Her parents will have access needed medications and will also have access to Biblically-based, entrepreneurial and savings training. Additionally, your support strengthens inclusive education programs, vocational training, and Christian Horizons Global’s ability to advocate for and develop disability awareness and community integration in Bekoji.
